Penguin Random House Canada Young Readers' Penguin Teen Social 2022 was so much fun to attend! On Thursday June 2nd, a bunch of bloggers, booktubers, librarians, and so many more got together for Penguin Teen Social 2022, an event hosted by the Penguin Random House Canada Young Readers team online. This was my second time attending the event.
It began right away featuring the Penguin 10: the top ten books you need to read this Fall 2022. We first opened up with the some middle grade fiction novels that sound truly interesting (especially Fagan's Water, Water and Yoshino's How Do You Live?), and then delved into some Summer Staff Picks. Sam's picks included Follmuth's My Mechanical Heart and Deo's TJ Power Has Something to Prove. Sylvia's picks included Shim's The Noh Family and Ahn's I Guess I Live Here Now. Evan's picks were Glasgow & Lawson's The Agathas and Walton's On the Subject of Unmentionable Things. All participants attending the event also had the opportunity to win amazing prize packs which included some of the Penguin Random House Canada Young Readers team's Summer picks. It was an absolutely fun event to attend! Thanks to the Penguin teen staff for inviting me to this entertaining event and for hosting it! 😊
Here are some of the books discussed at the event:
Also some upcoming book events!
